Kazakhstan National Team Opens Central Asian Championship with Confident Victory
The CAVA Women’s Volleyball Championship 2026 has kicked off in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, and will run from May 22 to 29.
Today, Kazakhstan’s national team played its opening match of the tournament, defeating Sri Lanka.
The team coached by Askar Shalkibekov gave their opponents no chance, securing a confident 3-0 victory (25:9, 25:18, 25:12).
Next, Kazakhstan will face Bangladesh in Group B on May 24, followed by a match against Iran on May 25.
