Women’s National League: Results from Day 2 of Round 2

Burevestnik vs Aktobe 3–0 (25–22, 25–19, 25–19)

The Almaty side once again defeated their opponents from Aktobe in straight sets. Unlike yesterday’s match, the visiting team managed to put up a fight this time, but they were unable to win even a single set.

With this result, Burevestnik collected six points during their home round and significantly improved their position in the league standings.

Berel vs Karaganda 3–0 (25–17, 25–17, 25–15)

In Oskemen, just as in the previous day’s match, the contest ended in straight sets.

Haluk Korkmaz’s players delivered a confident performance throughout the match, giving the visitors from Karaganda no opportunity to take a set. As a result, Berel have collected 12 points from their first four matches of the season.

Quanysh vs Ertis 3–0 (25–18, 25–19, 25–9)

After dropping a set yesterday, Saim Pakkan’s team appears to have learned the necessary lessons. Quanysh secured a convincing victory over the National League newcomers, finishing the match in the minimum number of sets.

The North Kazakhstan side have earned the maximum possible 12 points from their four regular-season matches. Meanwhile, Yevgeny Nikolayev’s team can take some encouragement from the set they won in yesterday’s match.

Turan vs Zhetysu 1–3 (10–25, 25–20, 13–25, 19–25)

The second meeting of the season between the Kazakhstan Cup holders and the reigning national champions produced the most competitive match of the day.

After winning the opening set by a convincing margin, the Taldykorgan side allowed the hosts to level the match at one set apiece. However, Zhetysu reasserted their dominance in the third and fourth sets, leaving no doubt about their superiority and securing their 12th point after the first four matches of the championship.
