Kazakhstan Para-Volleyball Team Bound for World Cup
KAZAKHSTAN MEN’S SITTING VOLLEYBALL NATIONAL TEAM HEADS TO THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
Today, ahead of the team's departure for the World Championship, alongside Arman Kabesov, First Vice-President of the Kazakhstan Volleyball Federation, we met with the Kazakhstan Men’s National Sitting Volleyball Team. From July 1 to July 6, the team held its final training camp of the season at the Paralympic Training Center in Astana.
On July 6, the national team will depart for Hangzhou, China, which will host the Sitting Volleyball World Championship from July 10 to July 17. The prestigious tournament will feature 32 of the world's strongest teams: 16 men's and 16 women's squads. In addition to the championship medals, the athletes will compete for two qualification spots for the 2028 Paralympic Games in Los Angeles.
According to the draw results, Kazakhstan will compete in Pool C against Brazil, Croatia, and Iran. Notably, the Kazakhstan National Sitting Volleyball Team is recognized as one of the top teams in Asia and has honorably represented the nation in international arenas for many years.
I am confident that with the federation's support, combined with the high level of skill, discipline, and strong team spirit of our athletes, the national team will deliver a worthy performance and firmly compete for top honors. I wish the team great success at the World Championship, brilliant victories, and a joyful return home!
