Men's National team of Kazakhstan regularly participates in all official competitions FIVB and AVC from 1991, since Kazakhstan gained the status of an independent state. Until 1991, the national team of the Kazakh SSR performed a separate team in various tournaments held under the auspices of the Volleyball Federation of the Soviet Union, in particular in ten (1956-91) Summer Games of the Soviet peoples. Club representatives of the Kazakh SSR ("Caspian" Shevchenko "Petrel" / "Dorojnik" SKA Alma-Ata) to the 1961-91 year were the highest in the republic and the first division championships and the USSR Cup, international cups and tournaments. Kazakhstan players in the national team became the USSR - Olympic champions (Kravchenko, Antropov), world champion and winner of the European Champions.
